  1. I have noticed that at lower decile schools there appears to be a greater amount of high fat and high sugar foods because they are cheaper and easier to access. The Garden to Table programme at CNS was excellent because it helped teach students how to prepare and enjoy simple, healthy meals.

  2. You are right Anna. I think the problem when kids get older is that they don't have the basic skills to prepare simple healthy meals so instead opt for takeaways or ready meals. I also noticed the high amount of junk food in the kids' lunch boxes on my last practicum, but tried hard to model healthy eating and promote healthy foods.
